The Authority, in its effort to maintain, enlarge, as well as upgrading the garden to a standard setting suitable for learning has persistently train and retrain the staff who oversee the general development of the garden. The idea is to be able to train more young entrepreneurs to contribute to the sustainable development of their communities by creating farming jobs and thus preventing unemployment and poverty by ensuring food self-sufficiency and contributing to the well-being of the people who will become more aware of the components of the products they consume and training other young people who are willing to work in the field, thereby contributing to the education of the youths in the society.
The Authority is also considering a long time plan of supplying fresh fruits from the garden to juice production companies and has not ruled out the possibility of setting up a fruit juice producing company of its own with sole aim of sourcing raw material from the garden to replicate its achievements in table water production.
Tourism which has emerged as one of the world major socio-economic sectors and has since become the world fastest growing industry has also been considered a lucrative venture and part of the strategic plans of the Authority. It is in this regard that Gombe State Rural Development Council is looking into developing the garden for the purpose of tourism. The tourism idea if actualised will emerge as one of the foremost tourist destinations in Nigeria and will also become a major source of revenue generation for the Authority.
